Hi, my name is Jesse
I like mathematics, programming and music.
Check out my projects!
Visualize audio signals from your microphone in the browser, with frequency and period detection. Find definitions and examples throughout all of pure mathematics. Simulate physical systems based on Lagrangian mechanics. Search for examples in algebraic geometry based on adjectives, and automatically deduce new properties. A mystery game with a music theme, which received the 1st prize in a Dutch game jam. Write definitions and theorems in a functional programming style, and use automated search to find examples and proofs. This device turns your voice into a choir (with up to 16 voices) which can be controlled via MIDI, all in real-time. Synthax lets you build custom synths with as many oscillators, filters, effects, knobs and buttons as you want. It works both as a standalone application and as an audio plugin (VST/VST3). Scroll through your photos and videos via a browser interface, and tag your friends in photos. Create self-referencing images and animations, inspired by Escher and the Droste-effect.
In 2024, I obtained my doctorate at the Mathematical Institute of Leiden University, under the supervision of Márton Hablicsek. My interests are in algebraic geometry, character stacks, the Grothendieck ring of varieties and stacks, and automated theorem proving.
